Perfect Marshall ($8.60) has led from start to finish to claim the Group 1 Rookie Rebel (600m) on the opening night of the Australian Cup Carnival at The Meadows this evening.
Lining up in his first Group 1, the Janet Cottrell-trained greyhound made it 16 wins from 37 starts to score in the time of 34.36sec.
Having won $65,000 in prize money prior to tonight, the $75,000 first prize took his career earnings up to $140,000.
The Rookie Rebel is one of three Group 1 invitationals to be held at The Meadows tonight.
