Opawa Rooster does it all the way in Group 2 Canty Futurity

OPAWA Rooster (Fabregas x Token Kay Nov ’15) will be aimed at the heats of the Group 1 NZ Derby (520m) at Waikato next month after winning last week’s Group 2 Canty Futurity at Christchurch.

Trained by leading conditioners Jean and Dave Fahey, Opawa Rooster began brilliantly off box three and never gave his rivals a chance, racing to the line to win by nine and a half lengths in a fast 29.99.
