Houdini Boy claimed the Group 1 $108,000 Zoom Top (725m) at The Meadows tonight in a thrilling finish which saw just 1.5 lengths separate the first three place getters.

Trained and bred by the Greenough Kennels, Houdini Boy worked through the field to chase down the leading Zack Monelli to win his second Group 1 victory after he claimed the Sale Cup (650m) in December.

Houdini Boy’s Zoom Top victory was his second win over the 700 plus metre journey following a win in a heat of the Group 1 Bold Trease at Sandown Park in November.
