HOT WEATHER ALERT: Horsham race meeting transferred from twilight to night

Greyhound Racing Victoria advises that due to the current forecast of 37 degrees for 14 November 2017, in accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, the scheduled twilight meeting at Horsham Greyhound Racing Club will now be a night meeting.

Are you familiar with GRV’s Hot Weather Policy?

Greyhound racing or trialling cannot be conducted in Victoria if the temperature exceeds 38 degrees.

The safety and welfare of greyhounds is of paramount concern for GRV in assessing whether a race meeting or individual races on a program should proceed, be delayed or abandoned in hot weather conditions.
