Christina cashes in after coursing conquest

Coursing is renowned for bringing out the best in greyhounds, with another example being Lady Christina, who won the prestigious Victorian Oaks at Longwood on 22 July.

Yesterday at The Meadows – 10 days after her Oaks triumph – the Gerry Rigg-trained greyhound made her return to circle racing, lining up in Race 5 as a $27.90 chance from box six.

After getting off to a great start and finding the lead, Lady Christina held on for second, and paid a massive $11.40 the place! (she was paying $41 win/$13 place on fixed odds).
