Zipping Maggie announced herself as an emerging staying star on Saturday night when she lowered the colours of Australia’s two big guns to take out the Group Three Chairman’s Cup for trainer Peter Dapiran.

The 28-month-old daughter of Turanza Bale and Natalie Rass (Malfoy – Al Fresco) left box three in second position and had worked to the front by the time she reached the home straight the first time, which is where she remained.
