WORM Burner proved why he is regarded as the top sprinter in the Festival State with a dominant victory in the SA Sprint Championship at Angle Park on Thursday night.
Stepping from box seven over the 515m trip, the well-bred son of Oaks Road and Little Looper tried to push up towards the lead in the run around the first turn, but was held up slightly between Wave To Kirra (box five) and Marlow Brown (box eight) which allowed the classy Fabregal (box one) to shoot through to a clear lead.
