WATERLOO CUP: Bear Left claims coursing’s biggest honour

Bear Left has claimed the 145th running of the Waterloo Cup at Lang Lang for trainer Ray Henness.

To win the Waterloo Cup, Bear Left had to course one-on-one six times over the weekend without defeat, in what is the ultimate test of speed and stamina.

Bear Left, a son of El Grand Senor and Angel’s Chorus, defeated Julana who is trained, owned and bred by the Massina family to win the $13,000 Waterloo Cup.

It was the battle of the Bendigo region in the final, Henness being from Heathcote and Massina from Golden Square.
