UP Hill Jill has upstaged her rivals to score a sensational victory in Thursday night’s Group 2 Laurels Classic (515m) at Sandown Park.
Starting from box one, the David Geall-trained bitch showed tremendous early dash, rolling straight to the front of the pack in the charge towards the first turn.
Once out in front she was never headed, with the classy youngster scoring by just under eight lengths in a fast 29.55.
Fearless Swan (box six) ran a nice race to finish second, whilst race-favourite Fanta Bale (box three) produced an enormous run to cross the line in third spot.
