NEIL Staines had a memorable afternoon at Dubbo on Tuesday, qualifying two runners into Sunday’s Cosmic Rumble Gold Cup Final, with his second heat winner Tullabung Honey recording best of the day figures.
The daughter of Barcia Bale and Hidden Assets started from box six in heat four and led all the way in a stunning 29.76 performance over the 516-metre journey. Anthony Azzopardi’s Fancy Top was made the $2.70 favourite after breaking the 25-second barrier at Maitland last week and did a superb job reducing the winning margin to just one length.
