Trainer’s clue to True Detective’s chances

Over the past few months True Detective has announced himself as a stayer to be reckoned with.

On Saturday night he gets the opportunity to add another Group 1 win to his already illustrious list of feature race wins, when he lines up in the Group 1 Fanta Bale Super Stayers (725m) at The Meadows.

True Detective was the quickest of the heat winners last weekend, recording a time of 42.11sec in an all-the-way win from box one, beating Sandown 715m track record holder Here’s Tears.
