Robert Britton is brimming with confidence about his ageless staying star Tornado Tears ahead of the Group 1 Bold Trease (715m) at Sandown Park at 9.27pm tomorrow.
“I think he’s going as well as ever,” Britton said. “The only issue is that his racing habits seem to have changed. He’s not driving through on the fence; he’s waiting for an opening.”
But the revered trainer says his four-time Group 1 winner, who has won nine races from 10 starts over 715 metres at Sandown, has lost none of his natural ability.
