As expected Victoria filled the Quinella in Saturday night’s Group 1 AGRA National Distance Championship (715m) at Cannington.
Sweet It Is overpowered Xylia Allen in the dying moments to score her first Group 1 of 2014, however, in running second, the latter overtook Miata as Australia’s highest ever prize money earner at $722,625.
This was Victoria’s first National Distance Championship win since Jarvis Bale’s victory at Cannington in 2009.
