BOX THREE – OUTSIDE PASS (TONY APAP)

“She has shown she can begin in a field which will be handy on Friday night. The reduced field size will give her a big chance of a Shootout win. I give her every chance to win because she is a very good dog but saying that – all four dogs in the field are champions,” trainer Tony Apap said.

BOX FIVE – ZAMBORA BROCKIE (ANTHONY AZZOPARDI)

“Zambora Brockie is as ready as he has ever been! Drawing box five isn’t ideal but he has enough pace to cross Outside Pass (box three) and Dundee Osprey (box one), saying that the rest of the field are very strong. It’s so hard to pick a winner; they all have their strong traits and you have to respect the lot,” trainer Anthony Azzopardi said.

With the field reduced to half it’s only fitting punters would believe their chances of backing a winner would be in their favour, but this couldn’t be further from the truth! The winner-takes-all Shootout is made up of four of Australia’s fastest greyhounds, all with attributes that could see them take out the individual event.

The Group Two $50,000 Shootout was hand selected from 12 nominations. Dundee Osprey, Outside Pass, Worm Burner and Zambora Brockie are the worthy runners at Sandown Park’s Shootout on Friday night.
