PAnakie trainer Jeffrey Britton appears to have a mortgage on the $25,000 first prize for the Group 3 Cranbourne Classic final over 520 metres at Cranbourne tonight.

Amazingly, Britton has ‘half the field’ (four runners) in the time-honoured event – Spearhead (box two), Weblec Ace (box three), Mister Harlewood (box four) and Weblec Jack (box five).

And even though Weblec Ace was the only qualifier to break the 30-second barrier in last week’s heats – he posted a sizzling 29.92sec win – The Watchdog has selected Mister Harlewood to claim the spoils.
