RIPPIN Hayne burst into calculations for next week’s Group 1 Maturity Classic final at The Meadows with a dominant semi-final victory on Saturday night.
Trained by leading mentor Rob Britton, Rippin Hayne only jumped fairly from box three in the fourth and final qualifier, but was able to slip into third spot along the fence in the early stages. Running through the catching pen and the son of Magic Sprite and Chevy Princess pushed through to take the lead, charging clear down the back and roaring away from his rivals to score by three lengths in a fast 29.82.
