BOB Dempsey was full of smiles on Sunday after landing the biggest win of his training career in Saturday’s Group 2 Ipswich Auction Series (520m).
Dempsey puts the polish on back marker Pyro Bob which was able to overcome a slow beginning from box three, cutting straight down the fence and railing through to take the lead in the charge around the first turn.
From then onwards it was a case of times and margins, with Pyro Bob kicking clear to score by one-and-one-quarter lengths over the fast finishing Slick (box five) in 30.59.
