David Geall’s recent golden run as a trainer could reach astronomical levels on Saturday night if either Miss Splendamiro or Melbourne Cup winner My Redeemer are able to take out this weekend’s $357,000 Group 1 TAB Australian Cup at The Meadows.

Geall – who rose to fame after the amazing exploits of former champion Up Hill Jill – goes into Saturday’s flagship event with two chances.

My Redeemer was deemed $3.50 favourite following the Australian Cup box draw which was conducted on Monday at Zinc in Federation Square. While kennelmate Miss Splendamiro sits at $6 after drawing unfavourably in box eight.
