Lamia Bale recorded her second Group victory within the space of 10 days when she took out this afternoon’s Group Two Laurels Classic at Sandown Park.
Drawn in box six, the brindle daughter of High Earner and Maple Bale began well before being outpaced by the speedy Lady Ronray (7) who assumed the lead around the first turn.
As Lady Ronray crossed to the fence racing through the catching pen, Lamia Bale was checked and lost ground, but was still able to hold onto second ahead of Kerrigan Bale (4) racing down the back.
