In the steward’s room – two disqualified for amphetamine offences

TWO trainers have been slapped with bans after their greyhounds returned positive samples to the prohibited substance Amphetamine.

On February 11, South Australian trainer Michele Famiglietti was informed that his greyhound Are Ate had shown the presence of Amphetamine in an out-of-competition urine sample taken at his registered kennel on January 5, 2016.

The reserve portion of the sample was tested, with the presence of the substance confirmed – a subsequent inquiry was held on March 30, 2016.
