Horsham Cup heats moved due to hot weather

This week’s expected hot weather has seen the Horsham Cup heats moved to Tuesday next week.

The heats were originally scheduled to be run on Saturday night, but with temperatures expected to reach 40 degrees, that meeting has been postponed three days.

The cancellation is one of several across Victoria to be cancelled or heat affected this week including meetings at Healesville, Ballarat, Cranbourne, Bendigo and The Meadows.

GRV’s Hot Weather Policy is in place to ensure the highest standards of welfare of greyhounds during transportation, at race meetings and trial sessions in hot weather conditions on days that are ‘hot weather affected’.
