Victorian trainer Darren Pattinson has no regrets in choosing to decline an invitation for his star sprinter Blazin’ Bomber to be considered for selection in last weekend’s $224,500 Group 1 Sky Racing Topgun at The Meadows.
Pattinson instead chose to race Blazin’ Bomber in the Group 1 Vic Peters Classic (520m) series at Sydney’s Wentworth Park, and after running second in a heat he won a semi-final of the series in spectacular fashion last Saturday (replay below). He is drawn in box five in Saturday night’s $100,000 final at 9:50pm.
