Over Limit lived upped to the hype last night smashing Ballarat’s 450m track-record, stopping the clock at a stunning 24.766 seconds.
The previous record, held by 2013 TAB Melbourne Cup winner Black Magic Opal (24.874 seconds), was set in March and has been rarely challenged.
That all changed in race eight last night, as the exciting son of Cosmic Rumble and Nova Surf burned from box three and bolted home to win by an increasing eight lengths.
