Aston Bolero lands deserved group win in 2016 Bendigo Cup

ASTON Bolero finally broke through for his first victory at group level when landing a deserved win in Friday night’s Group 2 Bendigo Cup (425m).

A seven time group finalist heading into the feature, the son of Fabregas and Aston Elle stepped well from box two, pushing up along the fence to make a line of three with Zoltina’s Legacy (box three) and Pantera Nera (box five) down the back.

Heading into the bend and the leading trio raced tightly, with Zoltina’s Legacy and Pantera Nera tangling with each other and drifting back through the field.
