Former Kiwi chaser Above All has put in a breathtaking performance to claim tonight’s Group One Silver Chief Classic at The Meadows.
Trained by Robert Britton, the son of Magic Sprite and Kara Janx began fairly from box five, overcoming some slight trouble in the run to the first turn to sit in second position behind Dyna Villa running through the catching pen.
Once he balanced up down the back, the dashing black chaser set off in pursuit of last year’s Melbourne Cup winner who looked to have a winning break down the back.
