NEW South Wales star Ando’s Mac is the first greyhound through to the Group 1 Melbourne Cup (515m), with a stunning victory in his heat of the $420,000 to the winner series on Friday night.
The Jason Mackay-trained speedster was safely away from box eight and was able to slip into third position around the first turn before circling the leaders in the run down the back straight and kicking clear.
